NatWest BT worry

Application for the NatWest 13 month 0% BT was very quick.
The only worry I have is that the BT from the "GE Money" Card has morphed into an "ASDA" balance transfer. Is that just a generic mistake?
During the application process it asks to enter the card number and the amount. But we no longer had the cards as we always cut them up as we get them. So I entered the long number from the monthly statement. Never had a problem before.
Is the number on the statement the same that would be embossed on the plastic card?
Should I worry and call them up?
What do you think?

GE Money account number (i.e. that on the statement) is NOT the same as the Credit Card number.
No real idea of the consequence but yes I would be worried.0 -
I seem to recall HSBC and/or M&S operate a similar system with 2 different 16 digit (account and card) numbers. However, when I queried it (some time ago now) I was told that with their systems the money would find it's way to the correct account without delay.GE Money account number (i.e. that on the statement) is NOT the same as the Credit Card number.

However, I agree; I would also be worried until I'd had it confirmed by the organisation(s) involved.0 -
OK thanks. Will have to give them a call I guess. Just such an annoying hassle.0

The Sky Card amount I transferred showed up on the letter as SkyCard. So that looks OK, and there as well I looked just on the statement for the long number as we no longer have the card as it got cut up the minute it landed on the welcome mat.
I would definately know by end of month if it got transferred correctly. But will still call them up.0 -

I'm not really sure but its not 'their ' systems that matter is whether Natwest system understand the numbers.0 -
Sorry, you're quite correct Clapton. I forgot that my 'query' related to sending payments from my current account by BACS - not BT'ing. I did say it was "some time ago now".I'm not really sure but its not 'their ' systems that matter is whether Natwest system understand the numbers.

Pretty certain the ASDA card is issued by GE, so it may just be a generic name given:
From the online application:The ASDA Credit Card is provided by GE Consumer Credit Services Limited, Registered Office: 6 Agar street, London, WC2N 4HR. Registered in England No. 3927500. ASDA Stores Limited, ASDA House, Southbank, Great Wilson Street, Leeds, LS11 5AD. Credit subject to status to UK residents aged 18 or over.
But as with the others, I'd still be concerned..0 -
Yeah, I am going to call them in the next few minutes.
Thanks.0 -
OK, they have a free phone number so that is another plus point.
Anyway, as long as the account/membership/customer numbers on the statement are also 16 digits then its fine, to enter those instead of the numbers on the card, if the cards are not available.
A generic name that came up but still to watch the next statements to ensure it has gone through correctly.0
