Has anyone had any success in getting Shop Direct to change an AR to a default.
My account went into default in 2008 when I went into a DMP. It was cleared in July 2013, but with an AR it will not leave my account until July 2019. If it had defaulted it would be cleared this year.
I have had success with Barclays and Le Redoute, so ready to do battle with Shop Direct, but would like to know what I am getting involved with.
BTW I have no interest is getting another account with Shop Direct,
Thank you
Susanna

Shop direct are utterly useless and will probably just fob you off.
Refer to the FOS when they do.
They also can ignore letters, so get proof of posting and call the a FOS if nothing after a month.
Good luck

Hi...how did you manage to get Barclays to change the AR to a default? I have tried a few times with Barclays to change my AR but they refuse.0 -
Hello
Happy Bunny, I am getting prepared to go into battle with these people I have nothing to lose as it will be 2019 before the AP drops of my account.
Dazla,
I cannot remember the details but I just rang them, explained why I felt the AP was unfair. I had paid them back all the debt, so not sure if that helped. Also I think the card was a Egg or Morgan stanley card, so was not an actual Barclaycard.
Hope that help a little and good luck.
