Euro Lock Security

Want to increase the security of a patio door which has a Euro lock.
We have seen/heard of the weak points of a Euro cylinder lock fitted to most Patio doors.
My lock is a double sided Euro cylinder lock, where the door can be locked from outside or inside and could be bumped or snapped to gain entry.
As we do not use the outside of the lock for locking. By changing the lock for a half euro cylinder and handles allowing locking only from the inside.
Would this increase Security against entry.
Thanks

It isn't just the lock that is the issue. Patio doors can be lifted if you insert a spade under them.
Patio door locks will stop this.

Get a snap/bump proof Euro cylinder from Avocet

I had a patio door removed before I moved in because I dislike them as they are a big security risk. Some might be okay but the prices are high and I have better things to spend my money on.

thanks,
I'm sorry although I call them Patio doors, they are actually French doors opening inwards and each door has a Euro cylinder which was why I asked about a half euro lock.
thanks again0 -
I would second what the above poster said, Avocet locks are excellent.
I have them on all my doors and also have sash jammers.

I've also out the sash jammers on the downstairs windows given that they aren't expensive. They just screw onto the frame.0 -
The police fitted our half locks and sash jammers as part of a crime prevention initiative. Could be worth contacting you local station to see if they have one going on at the moment.0
