Lloyds tsb question

Ok, I had a account with Llyods tsb about 3 years ago. It has about 3k in it. I have forgotten about this account till now.

Since then I have moved house and the bank has split.

How do I go on about getting my money back? I still have papers from the account here with me.

Ah ok. I will try to go to the llyods sometime next week :)

Yeh. I put the money in a cash isa with them and just forgot about it. I'm going to get the money back and do it proper this time and keep my eye on it :P

Your sort code and account number won't have changed as a result of the Lloyds TSB split. A quick phone call to either of them will tell you who holds this account now.

You'd probably get more interest by splitting it between two TSB Classic Plus accounts funding each other with £1000 on the same day of the month?

Not necessarily so at all. TSB has around 600 branches, nearly half of which used to be LloydsTSB branches in England.

Deposit £1.5K in each, and then set up a pair of cross funding SOs for £500 early in the month (same day).

Go paperless for everything and gain 4% net of basic rate tax (3% net of higher rate tax). Way better than the best instant access ISA you'll find at the moment.
