Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had tried this service and found it good value for money? (obviously an element of this will depend on the actual architect you get)
We have a large house which is nice but could be amazing I think. We have some ideas but really need that design input to pull it all together and to tell us what could be possible and even better, take it to another level.
They have quoted just over a grand for 8 hours including an initial drawing. Its prepay so if we use less then we can bank the rest for any further work.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience versus a normal Architect process.
Thanks

don't know what your on about, but phoning a local architect to book a home visit will be much cheaper.0

There are many options that don't include using an expensive architect service, check the local builders, they have seen all types of properties and done it all before.
Any technical services can usually be had from ex LC employees who specialise in plan drawing and calcs etc
You ought to get the ideas and all the plans, permits and inspections done for that.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
A grand for a days work?!?!
Nice work if you can get it...
You should definitely get some quotes from other architects if want their design input that one sounds ridiculous! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
