So I've been with admiral for 2 years...get my quote to reinsure and it's gone up £200. Called em got it down to what I paid last year n told them I'll look elsewhere. Aviva are quoting me about £400 less!! I couldn't believe it. Is anyone with Aviva? Have any experiences with them? I'd be grateful to know I'm not buying into something which is rubbish! Many thanks.

Someone here calls them "absolute rubbish":
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews66771.html
On that independent review site they get 1.3/5 (1 is the minimum anyone can have)
But on the Aviva website they publish customer reviews and there get 4.5/5.
Makes you think........0 -
Aviva are one of the largest insurers in the world and deal with thousands of claims a day. You will always find someone unhappy, but at the same time they will have many thousands of happy customers.0

Aviva have many levels of product and are available direct, via brokers/ intermediaries and via affinity deals. It is therefore a little hard to know which "Aviva" they are talking about as both product and service are likely to differ by both distribution channel and product.
Admiral sell a basic product and have average but very friendly service, certainly a budget product.
For Motor, where I dont see as much differentiation between product levels (below HNW) then I'd be happy with either of them on anything but a brand new car. Admiral doesnt have new vehicle replacement so its the only time I'd avoid them.

Which? rate Aviva considerably above Admiral when it comes to car insurance.
If you go back to Admiral they will probably price match Aviva, they are normally happy to knock at least 25% off their renewal price0
