Shower Whistling, trying adjust pressure..

Options
For the last couple of weeks, when we turn our shower on there's a high pitched sound. I tried adjusting the boiler pressure by taking water out of the radiators and that did reduce the boiler pressure (it was up at about 3 and is now down at 2, it was at 1.5 after I adjusted it about a week ago so I might need to do that again).
I've seen a video on the net that suggests the whistling could be caused by pressure in the pipe between the shower and the boiler.
When we turn the taps on anywhere there's no whistling at all, this only happens whilst using the shower.
Our shower hose comes out of the top of mixer taps, I've looked at it but can't figure out how to get to pipes behind it in order to adjust the pressure.
I thought about looking under the bath tub but the side of the bath has sealant gel on it so if I remove it to look I'll have to remove that too.

Any suggestions what I could try next? Am happy to snap a couple of photos, would really appreciate some help - don't really want to call up a plumber, it's probably a reasonably simple task of turning a screw in the shower valve, if I could just get to that screw, wherever it is, in the first place!

Does it whistle with the shower head removed?

Or the boiler off so only cold water flowing?

Just been listening to it again and remembered I haven't been back on here!

Thanks for replying :), good questions :), it doesn't whistle when only cold water is flowing, if the temperature of the shower is low enough it sometimes doesn't whistle, aswell.

I just tried it without the shower head and it still whistles.
But usually the whistling sounds like it's coming from area of the room the boiler is in, on the other side of a room across the hall, but when I turned it on without the shower head I could hear the whistling coming out of the shower hose aswell, it sounded like (though maybe the sound was just travelling along the pipes).
