blinking AEG

bought a new dishwasher - waited for ages to get it installed -

error - spray arm blocked, and !!! salt

its on 3 in one - so no salt required!
called for engineer visit on Friday morning (rememver this is brand new!) get call on thursday - sorry tech in accident - off sick, come round on wednesday as thats the earliest 'last call' - ok.. not completely happy as still have to leave work early and have to wait!

come home on wednesday (visit sched for between 3-5pm) wait til 4.30 then phone as maybe lost - oh, he's off sick and you are resched for tomorrow! we tried calling, but couldnt get through (for 3 days????)

arrghhh (ooo, got to go Rome just starting)

    Think you are supposed to use salt anyway, even when using 3 in 1, as tablet doesn't dissolve til part way thru wash. Was what an engineer advised me when mine broke down.

    thanks - yes, lady on phone said to use salt, so poured entire bag in - still got error messages and then they came and took it away... (maybe i should have waited before pouring it in!

    new one came (not in the morning as promised, but in the afternoon after my various phone calls!) and the poor delivery guy was so worried, because the replacement had a whopping great dent in the front of it - so have to wait until next wednesday to get new one (again!) but at least this one is working
