Barclaycard PPI claim ... slow?

After my recent success with Barclays PPI for a loan (claim submitted and paid within 11 days:j)... I decided to follw suit with a Barclaycard claim.

15 days and they haven't ackowleged receipt of my claim or anything.

How long should I leave it? I sent both forms with proof of postage or signed for.

  • They have eight weeks to respond, either with a final decision or to tell you they need more time to look into your complaint. Not all bank acknowledge receipt of complaint forms. If you haven't heard from them at all in eight weeks or you disagree with their final decision you can then refer it to the FOS. If they respond needing more time let them have it - the queue at the FOS can be a long one.
  • Thnaks for the info- its taken 3 weeks - they have made an offer today!
