Getting Solar PV soon, worth changing supplier before or to wait?
Options
I've just moved into a new (for me) house and am on a 'Deemed Contract' with nPower. I've ended up foisted on one of thise before so I'm going to get off it ASAP, but I'm also getting Solar PV installed very soon. Is it worth getting that installed first and then testing the market for a supplier, or not? SUggestions gratefully recieved.
Thanks.
Dan

I would get off it ASAP, but when you do your comparisons you might to put in a lower leccy usage as it might change which suppliers are most competitive.0

FWiW, I have been with EDF for FIT payments for over 3 years. Their processes were initially quite slow but I cannot fault the speed with which they pay the actual FITs. I gave them a meter reading on 1st Sep; had a BACS remittance on the 3rd and money in my account on the 5th. I have known them to be faster!! EDF is no longer my energy supplier. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Since the two are entirely independent, I'd get on the best tariff ASAP, otherwise you'll be entering the heating season on an expensive standard tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
