Home Insurance/ Dispute with Neighbor

As an aside, my mothers flat is worth in the region of £60,000 and yet the buildings cover is up to £1,000,000 and contents insurance is £50,000 (she definately doesn't own anywhere near that). Is this normal?
The worth of the flat is irrelevant. Insurance goes by rebuilding cost.
She effectively has blanket cover. It will be priced appropriately but she has very little risk of being under-insured.0 -

Oh okay that makes sense. Even then though isn't £1,000,000 rather excessive? It's great that she wont be under insured though but I don't want her over insured either wheres the benefit in that.0 -
Do some quotes on line using the correct values and see what the premiums come in as.
The advantage of blanket coverage is you don't have to do an inventory every year to update everything at todays prices.0
