I have been to 2 different Tesco branches in the past and gone in around 11am to see the trolleys of stuff like mince ready to go out which has gone brown already, done my shopping and sat for a hour getting lunch and when I went to leave saw the same trolleys with the same meat sitting there still unrefrigerated..

One of the stores used to sell "reduced" stuff and by that I mean reduce something that is £3 to like £2.80 that is totally brown and yet sometimes had about 2 days before its use by or sell by date.

Mince is supposed to be brown.
Here I go again on my own....

You don't know where it's coming from, where it's been, how old it is, what it even looks like until you get it, or how long it's been sat in the back of a warm van.

Much like shopping at Tesco, I'd suggest. They can't even be sure that the meat inside the packet is what the label claims it is.

Most beef should be if it has matured properly.

Supermarkets have conditioned people into thinking that bright red meat is what we should be expecting. What they don't mention is the additives that they use to keep it red.

But if the meat is full of additives and is still turning brown, it is probably not as fresh as it should be.

What I meant more was that the meat looked brown in a old way not like it was fresh and just a different colour, I get butchers mince and even packet mince from the supermarkets and when its newer the meat looks smoother and when it gets old the edges start to look whiter.

Some of the meat looked brown on top and red inside or 3/4 brown and one small red bit.

Either way when you see meat left out for almost 2 hours in non refrigerated trolleys you get a bit worried.

I don't get why people love WG so much. The meat is only average quality and the prices are high. Customer service is very poor when anything goes wrong.
