Confused by my In Love With Fashion win - help!

I entered a competition to win a dress of my choice on the In Love With Fashion Facebook page. I had to guess how many Love Hearts were in the jar. I guessed correctly on 28th August. They then posted on 29th August to say they had 4 winners and were waiting for one more to guess correctly before they would announce the names.

They then posted the winners' names and said that, because 13 guessed correctly, they picked names at random - the first 5 winning a dress, the remaining 8 winning a £10 voucher. I ended up with a £10 voucher.

I don't want to sound like I'm being ungrateful, but surely I was one of the first 5 they previously mentioned as a winner? Very confused. I have emailed them.

This is a bit strange,

Since they contacted you on the 28th along with 3 others I would say you should all have the main prize, pick someone from random from the 29th for the final main prize then the others have the £10 voucher, unless it's all a big con! and no one is getting the main prize. not that i'm cynical or anything!

If it was a time limited comp it is fair enough to pick at random from the correct guesses. It it was first five to guess right then no. Hard to say without seeing the terms & conditions.

Well, I am so glad I emailed. They said they were confused by the number of entrants and who guessed when, but have now honoured the prize and I've chosen my dress. I'm so pleased.
