Post Office lost my Lloyds cash deposit

I paid a cash deposit of several hundred pounds into my Lloyds Bank account 7 days ago (5 working days) via my local post office branch. The local branch I paid in at have proof they processed it - the only cash deposit of that day as it is a tiny village branch. I was told 3 different processing times but none as long as a week.

Now my local post office say the can do no more and phoned their advice line only to relay to me I need to chase through Lloyds. Lloyds however say they cannot trace a payment that has never been created at the post office.

The only number I can find to query the post office is an 0345 number that is for general enquiries who have told me they cannot access personal banking info and direct me back to my bank!!

I have my deposit receipt & all details are correct & checked by both bank and post office.

Advice please?! Do I report it as stolen? How do I get to the post office processing centre?

There is a set procedure whereby Lloyds will put in the money to your account and take a copy of the post office receipt.
That is all that is required - the bank will then take up the matter with the post office.
Go into your local branch to get it sorted.
