downpipe issue

Options
I've got a semi detached 2 bed house. There's only 2 houses in the row, mine and next door neighbour's. Mine being on the right.
On my right hand side, there is a small path/alleyway leading to my garden door and garden door for 2 other houses on the other side (different row of house altogether).
This alleyway, I and the other 2 houses use to put our household wheely bins out, no one else. There's ample room for the wheely bins to be dragged along the alleyway without touching the brickwork of my house and the fences on the other side.
On the right hand side of my house, I've got a rainwater down-pipe.
There is alot of damage to this side down-pipe, which wasn't there 12 months ago, which I only saw today. Lots of horizontal deep scratches. I'm worried that sooner or later, the pipe will be damaged completely.
I've seen one of the other 2 houses use the alleyway for their motorbike on a daily basis and I'm assuming that it is them who has caused this damage.

What can I do, as at the end of the day, I've not caused that damage and I'm the one whose going to have to folk out for the pipe as it's attached to my property.
I'm assuming the house that has the motorbike will deny that it's them.

I would appreciate advice and what I can do.

Thank you.

You could go and have a word with your neighbours but you don't really know who did it so may get yourself into a fight.
I think i'd get some timber and box the pipe in. you only need do it for say 5' or 6'

As above, you can't prove it was the motorbike that caused the damage.

Just box it in and get on with more important things.
