What is Chequing on my statement?

I have noticed a transaction from my bank account to something called CHEQUING. I do not remember setting anything up and can't find any reference to it on google search.
Does anyone know what this is please?

A Google search suggests this might have something to do with banking in Canada.

A Chequing Account is just a North American term for a Current Account. More context might help us to help you more.

USA probably, but as jonesMUFCforever hinted above, the Canadians get it right as usual.
