Sky Card - 0% until June '08

I've just received an email from Sky, for existing Sky TV customers, offering their credit card with 0% BT & purchases until June 2008. I've just applied for it but it didn't give me an instant decision and said I would be contacted within the next 15 days if my application was successful, so I'm wondering what other people's experiences are when applying for this card.

Is it usual for them not to give an instant decision? I've had instant decisions with most of my previous card applications.

What sort of credit limit do they usually allow?

Cheers :)

Yes, never heard from them for about 7+ days, until yesterday i got a letter with my PIN and card is on the way. They never contacted me to say yes, however i susoect they may have phoned, but i used my sisters telephone number. I know they have phoned people in the past.

Hi, when I applied, the first I heard of being accepted was when my card turned up 2 1/2 weeks later! Their initial communication isn't great!
I only got a limit of £1k, which is prety pants, but I did have approx £15k of available credit on other cards at the time, so that may be why

They do have a strange way of working, but if u have a query, they seem to be pretty good. I got a response from a secure email I sent within 24 hrs...

    Good Luck

Ok thanks very much, will keep an eye out for the post then but I guess it will be a week or two before I hear anything from what you've both said.

I received a PIN today so can only assume I've been accepted for the card, but haven't yet received any other correspondance or the card itself!

Seems a very strange way of dealing with things if you ask me

danielbb - have you actually received your card yet?

May be because of the 'Abbey' problem. i.e. the factory issuing cards has been flooded and closed!
