You think rUK will boycott Scotland and Scottish products if we vote for independence?

I would say it rather depends upon how the split actually goes.

I would think that most rUK people would remove money/savings/pensions/insurance (where ever possible) etc from Scottish institutions simply as it will be safer in ruk than in a totally unknown Scottish financial environment.
I doubt any ruk based IFA would recommend a scottish financial institutions in case it goes wrong and they are accused of miss-selling. I would image that many Scottish people would put their money in ruk too.

As to boycotting Scottish goods or not visiting Scotland, a lot would depend upon how 'friendly' the negotiations were:
if Scotland e.g. did refuse to pay its share of the debt (for whatever reason) I would think there would be an anti-Scottish backlash

otherwise I wouldn't see much change in behaviour : indeed more people may be curious about Scotland and go visit.

You can also have Australian or U.S. Aberdeen Angus you know.

Psst Graham, Aberdeen Angus is a cattle breed, they're not called like that because they're all grazing in and around Aberdeen. ;)

Never said they were. You are trying far to hard.

You may have missed the point, but my whole post was regarding the ability for Scotland to use their name to promote products. Aberdeen Angus beef was simply an example.

They could do the same with shortbread and promote the Scottish brand far more to other areas in the EU for example. That does not mean I think all shortbread comes from Scotland, simply that the product is Scottish in its roots, so quit with the utterly pointless "one upman ship" which only serves to create these arguments you moan so bitterly about.

And there we go - did you even read the whole post?

You've done exactly as I said you would.

You have a pop out of nowhere, and then, as soon as I answer, you complain I'm turning it into the "graham devon show". What do you want exactly? To continually have a go out of nowhere and never have a word said back? If so, just let me know.

It's interesting how some believe that Scotland is important to the UK economy and others dismiss it.
