Hi,

i'm about to move into a 1 bed apartment, its brand new so i don't yet know who the gas and elec are piped to... i'm clueless and dont know where to start in terms of finding the cheapest supplier..

Its a 1 bed apartment, 1 person, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, hall and thats it!

I am trying to work out budgets... for combined gas and elec what should i be looking at paying per month - i am hearing about £30? It has gas central heating.

Does anyone know who are the cheapest supplier to the surrey area for a single person in their experience?  . I dint know where to start?
I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

I would budget for about £50 a month(£30 gas £20 elec) averaged over the year.

Initially you won't use anything like £30 as it is summer.

There really is no hurry to change supplier, you will have to use the current supplier for the few weeks it takes to change anyway.

There will normally be a letter from your supplier addressed to 'the Occupier'

Go tho one of the comparison websites and enter in your annual consumption in kWh(don't put what you pay monthly) I would suggest you enter 15,000kWh for gas and 3,000kWh for Elec. With those figures you will get a good idea of who is cheapest.

I would guess £50 a month to be the very tops it would cost you. You will probably get away with a lot less than that, but best to budget on the high side to start with.
