Hi my son two years put Norton internet security on his and my laptops...not sure what he paid, the renewal came up last Sept and I paid this time £19.99 and opted for auto renewal....big mistake.
My son got an e mail saying they had renewed the security..listed the last 4 no of my bank acc at a cost of £44.99. this was 2 weeks early and neither of us were told of the increase.
I have e mailed them asking why this has happened..so far nor reply.

They are suppose to send an email 30 days before telling you the price they are going to charge.
I did the £19.99 deal, as Norton was on my new laptop for a 3 month trial anyway. I am waiting for the email as its 30 days on the 7th September, so far no email and nothing has been taken from my bank account so far.
You can do a live chat on Norton Support and ask them.0 -

Just cancel it. Look here0 -
thank you for the link, thats great0

And once you've cancelled it ensure you completely remove Norton and put on a free AV instead - I use Avast, others are available.0

Much as I love the Norton products, their renewal prices are a long-standing joke / scandal. It's usually much cheaper to buy a new Norton package from Amazon each year. You don't have to re-install ... just register the new software registration key and your good to go for another year....
