Wording of gift in a will question

This is a question my 82 year old neighbour asked me.
There are 5 grandchildren, each to receive a sum of money (the same amount each).
The wording for 3 of them says 'to my grandson/daughter xxxxxx the sum of xxx thousand pounds (£xxx) absolutely'.
The wording for the other 2 doesn't have the word 'absolutely'.
Does it make a difference?

No, I don't think so. Putting absolutely on there means there are no conditions, but usually a gift of money, unless it is for a child under 18, is free from conditions anyway.
If any of the grandchildren are under 18 the money needs to be held for them until they are.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
