Lady in distress!
I have to fit the window sill boards in my conservatory. They are the last job to do for our conservatory self-build and have been outstanding now for nearly five years!
My husband has completely lost interest in doing it, so I have decided to tackle it as I am sick of the wildlife that is crawling in. The boards are already cut to size, I just don't know how to do and I cannot find a suitable video on youtube.
The boards will sit across the cavity of an insulated brick wall and butt up against the window frame.
I have plenty of the following:
Spacers
Mastic
Caulk
No More Nails
Squeezy gun thing (the technical term for it
)
The end bits/caps?
Help!

In a UPVC conservatory the windowsills are normally fitted before the window are put in place as they sit on the sills or are you talking about the internal sill?0

Thats what I was confused about Cajef, the video I linked to shows the external sills with the runners for the windows to sit on. Im not sure how effective retrofitting external sills would be....0

Sorry guys, I didn't make myself clear.
The sills are on the inside of the conservatory, and look as if they are fitted similar to a house windowsill.
Thank you blackshirt. That looks like it would work for what I've got, although i discovered today the cutting has been very badly done. The corners are supposed to be angled (mitred?), but they they don't fit together very well at all. There's great gaps.
No idea who originally cut these laminate boards.0
