Good news. I can take any redundancy overspill from the 30k tax free in the 2016/2017 tax year.

Also I have been offered the following;

I am due to change my company car in April 2015 (BMW). I can get a new car (Octavia petrol?). Run it for a year. Then buy it in April 16 at RSP - 25%.

This sounds good although not sure if it sounds better than it actually is.

Off to check car prices and value of after one year

25% off may not be that much better than second hand but you know the car and can have it 100% tip top while someone else is paying the bills.
