Switching Vanguard 80 to 100?

Is this a worthwhile exercise?
100 seems to be slightly better performing and I don't mind the extra risk. I'm 32, not buying a house for a few years at least, no real commitments.
I've heard this isn't the vest way to get bond exposure currently, not that I'm sure I would even seek out an alternative method if I was to switch to the 100.

Is your investment a significant part of your wealth and an essential part of your possible medium term house purchase? If not, it doesnt matter much which you go for. You may as well take the higher risk of the 100% fund if you are happy with that.
However if there is a high probability of needing all the money in around 5 years I think you should consider taking much less risk.
One option if the investment is financially important to you and you are likely to need some of the money in the medium term (say <10 years) would be to split it into two separate portfolios. One long term diversified high risk, and the other more focussed on wealth retention.0 -
Don't forget the 0.1% dilution levy for buying into it again. It's not enough to discourage you from swapping if it's the right thing for you but you wouldn't want to do it too often0
