    Hello All :hello:

Just popping in to say hello!

    I am working today.

The commute was easy this morning as there was very little traffic around and it is a lovely bright morning. As I am the only one in at the weekends it is generally quiet but I can get my work done without any interference or "office banter"

Hope you all have a safe and nice OS day:T

    Good morning.

Yesterday I learned how to look after the dogs, 40 in all!! They have a no kill policy there, so any dogs that can't be rehomed are kept and given permanent living quaters. I fell in love with a rottweiller, I don't normally like those dogs, but she had so much love to give but was so scared it broke my heart. She came from a puppy farm, not in the best shape but so lovely. She'll never be re homed:(

Today we are having a birthday party for dd2. She had a friend of a sleep over last night (the one that takes over the house) and today we are going horse riding and then to a play area to get rid off some off their energy. Poor dd1 fell over yesterday so she cant go horse riding as her hands are all cut. When I asked her what happened she replied ' I tripped over a magical unicorn and hugged the floor':rotfl:

I hope oh realises he's paying for this party today as I have nothing:eek: I really need to budget my money better, I seem to end up with nothing by the end of each month. I love to eventually have enough in my account to always pay the direct debits and rent, without having to workout what I can spend or NOT spend do I have enough to cover them.

Not sure what else will happen today. Uniforms need washed, just got sausages out of the freezer for tonight, I hope they defrost on time.

I'm really looking forward to an evening of peace and quiet.:o

  • Good morning everyone :)

Have been busy decluttering this morning and have a big ebay pile and 5 bags/boxes of books ready for lilyplonk's charity shop, when DH can find time to drop them there. The declutter will carry on tomorrow when DH is out training all day.

It rained overnight and has been raining again this morning but it looks like it's clearing now, so am getting ready to put overnight wash out on the line as soon as the sun appears.

Bought some food bargains from M&S last night, I never expected to find YS stickers there but it was great. Some frozen and some being cooked into meals then frozen today.

Am going to see DD and GDD later, can't wait to see DD's newly restored real hair colour. Have seen it on facebook but need to see the real thing :rotfl:

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day.

    Morning morning!

I'm working today so been flying around 2 different towns on valuations and viewings, It's been so much fun, I absolutely love my job.

Not too much to report, we stayed in last night and did all the housework, so just clothes to wash. Got a food shop arriving later, and I need to nip to town after work to get some birthday presents for people.

Was supposed to meet a friend who didn't come to our wedding reception because she was mad I was thrown a surprise hen do and she wasn't invited (she has never met the girls who threw it, and lives 2 hours away..) But she has cancelled yet again...

Will probably stop for a spot of lunch in town if OH comes with me, if not, I have broccoli soup in the fridge. Dinner tonight...not sure, I picked up some vegan pesto so pasta might be on the menu.

Have a lovely day all xxx

    Afternoon all,

The usual clean through for us this morning, I usually do upstairs and hubby does down. All bathrooms cleaned and the beds stripped.
Once that was done we popped out for some food shopping. I told DH we should go to Aldi, but as Tesco is just 2 mins away he couldn't be bothered. I did warn him. His face at the checkout was a picture:p we will be back at Aldi next week.
It's really wet here so I've had to put the dryer on. I was hoping for a walk later but may postpone until tomorrow.
Caz since I've got my Filofax I seem to have been managing money much better. I have our budget on one page and on the next I write down any spends under various headings. The third page has our incomings as dh is self employed so they normally go in weekly.
It's really helped me keep track of spending and where each penny is going.
I have DD, Partner and DGS plus ds2 partner and bump plus our youngest for lunch tomorrow. I'm making two giant lasagnes with salad and garlic bread, followed by a Victoria sponge for pud. I love seeing them all but must admit it tires me out.
Anyway better get the sheets out of the dryer, have a great Saturday

Rotties can be quite delightful dogs; I hope she settles and gets over her nervousness - it'll take ime,but with plenty of tlc, she'll get there. And I'm very pleased that they give permanent quarters to any dogs they can't rehome.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all

Well, what a wash out, DS's & DDil are here, we hoped to go to the North Yorkshire Moors & Whitby, but a grey overcast wet day put paid to the waste of fuel. So we ended up with a trip to Glass Houghton Outlet centre for them to look at the Denby and also Le Creuset shops, nothing in the Denby shop, met their requirements, but they had a good browse in Le Creuset, and are now deciding what they want. Now just going to have a BBQ, as the rain has stopped.

    Be back later

    Good evening all

A nice dry day here. The party worked out well, the girls all loved horse riding after a bit of nervousness. What amazed us all was the owners 4 year old daughter bringing a horse into the stable, the horse had it's head down and she just put her full weight into its head to get her walking. It was so funny. Then the owner told us she puts her 8 month old on as it saves her carrying him/her lol. Went off to a soft play area and had food there. All in all it cost about the same as a party for 12 children, but this was much more relaxed with just 6.

Just had dinner of mash and sausages with broccoli, gravy and onions. The bag of meat I got from a$da it still going. 2 loads of washing on the line, a white load for the shirts, polo shirts and socks and dark for the skirts and jumpers. I will iron them all tomorrow.

Thank you julie for the advice. I'm going to start a spending diary from next week for four weeks to see what I'm spending where. Funny thing is every thing I buy I feel like we need. I don't really buy uneccessarily, or at least I don't think I do. We'll wait and see.

lamewolf I don't think I could help out there if any of the animals we're put too sleep. The Rottweiler is 8 so I don't know if it'll ever happen for her. For a dog that was abused, it's amazing that she still has this little bit of faith and trust left to come up to a stranger (me). They also have lots pf feral cats that lovely free lives but get fed and have shelter. I just wish more people would adopt from shelters rather than buy as puppies/kittens. I for one am guilty of it but never again. When I have the room I will be adopting from there, I'll probably become a cat lady:rotfl:

My goodness that was a long post. Well done for reading

    Evening all

Got up a bit late, watched some telly (catching up on what I had missed during the week). Washed my smalls and a sheet - hung the on the line outside (not dry when taken in so now hanging in my bedroom).

I did some gardening - chopped branches off a tree that keeps poking me in the face every time I walk up the garden path (tree was here when I moved in), pulled up some weeds, did some deadheading - inadvertently pulled off bits of plant which are now in a pot in the kitchen hoping that they will root and then I can replant outside.

I found a few strawberries on the woodland strawberry plant I bought last year but never planted out - I scoffed them, I emptied out my blue ceramic strawberry pot because the plants in it haven't produced fruit just lots of leaves (I want plants that will pull their weight).

Wandered to the supermarket - found food on the whoopsie shelves and I stocked up on a few things that I had run out of.
