GAME trade in promise

Options
According to GAME's website, they promise to beat all other stores within 1 mile's trade-in value on games by £1.

If I was to show up at one of their stores showing the trade in value at CEX for my games, would they beat each game's value by £1, or just the total value of all games by £1?

Thanks guys!

Just the total value as far as I'm aware, especially given the fact CEX's prices are shall we say a little stupid!

Just take them all in small batches over a couple of days, have the values loaded to a gift card. Depending on how many games/trips, you'll get an extra pound on each, could be quite fruitful.

I always though it was per game myself

Why not just take them to CEX if there's a store within a mile? Saves you faffing about with Game.

When I took games into my local I had to provide a print off. But they beat EACH game by £1.
  • It's definitely per game, but you have to prove the price of CEX.

Whenever I have traded anything in, I just had to show them the CEX online Trade in price, on my phone, and they beat them all by £1.

They do have a minimum value trade in though, where they will only match and not beat.

ALWAYS check CEX before trading in with GAME.

I took Watch Dogs back (PS4) they offered me £12.50 CEX - £18.00 (this was via in store credit) so I made 50% EXTRA, by checking first.

I do it on a regular basis and its every game at my store. For example I traded my copy of fifa 14 for the ps4 in a month ago for £29 store credit rather than £15 that game offered
