The first thing that is needed is for PE to issue a NtD to the driver. If/once that arrives the driver should send an initial appeal - there's a tried and tested one in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread ready for use.

Realistically the best the driver can hope for is a rejection with a POPLA verification code. I can't remember seeing PE capitulation at initial appeal stage - at least none that spring instantly to mind.

The contents of your draft appeal above (plus other points as in post #3 of the sticky) probably should be reserved for POPLA, where, for the past 3 or 4 months, PE have failed to defend, giving the motorist a default win.

I'm afraid all the hoops have to be gone through to ensure the finality of stamping out a PE PCN.

Like we said, the driver doesn't appeal YET. Don't blow it, calm down, the letter you found to name the driver is ALL you send right now and can be sent by email:

you must warn your brother & family about the letter he will get. Your brother then has to reply when he gets his own PCN in the post and send the template first appeal to PE online in time. Then he appeals to POPLA using our PE template suited to your case (either the free car park example or the pay and display car park version).

So I get three debt recovery letters from this company for three separate occassions from last July?
So you need to start your own thread if the Newbies thread t the top and this reply isn't enough. THIS IS NOT YOUR THREAD NOR IS IT A GENERAL DISCUSSION.
I remember binning the old ones as per advice I read at the time.
No you didn't read that at the time unless you read OLD threads, why would anyone bother to read old threads? Advice changed nearly two YEARS ago.
Am i right in thinking this was the wrong thing to do.
Oh yes. Very much so, as PE sue people.
I really have no ideas who was driving at the time.
Yes you do, have a think and name the driver as it wasn't the keeper was it? 'reset the clock'. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS ON THIS THREAD PLEASE.
In fact the one letter I have is for a parking ticket in july 2013, long before my car was even built :-S ... so not sure what thats all about.
No idea unless it's about your previous car; if these were postal PCNs then name the driver (name and address) in each case so the driver can appeal and win. Better than waiting to be sued.

NO REPLY HERE, IT'S NOT FAIR ON THE OP.

Thank you. I have sent the letter name the driver via their website appeal section. Now I will wait for them to write brother.

    Then follow ur advice.
