FREE Biomass Boiler

Hello, I've seen a few adverts for free biomass boilers I know how it works they rent a room in your house and co occupy to get the rhi payments and who ever is living in the house gets a nice new boiler that's cheaper than oil or LPG.

Thought it may be worth having a discussing thread on the pros and cons of this as it would be interesting to hear from people who have had it done, considering to have it done or just been looking into it.

As personally I feel it's a good option for people who haven't got the capital to pay for this kind of kit as it can be very expensive.

We get 3.3 Cubic Metres of logs delivered each year and that takes some handling. Seriously, if you have got the space, then you might be better off borrowing the money and getting the full RHI. I see a number of schemes use the first 4 years of RHIs to pay for the boiler and they offer 'free fuel management'. I assume that means you have to buy the fuel from a sole supplier; i.e., them. Caveat emptor - me thinks.
