Help with wrong address

Hi
I sold a personalised item on ebay and sent it to the verified address on paypal using royal mail signed for. I have just had an email from the buyer 5 days after sending the parcel asking me if I sent it to a certain address, I hadn't as that was not the address on ebay or paypal. I have checked the tracking and it looks as if the parcel is coming back to me and I have explained this to the buyer who said that they have had things to their new address from ebay and she has no idea why her old address was used.
I have suggested that she changes her address with ebay and paypal and if she already has then she needs to contact them as they must be an issue. Am I going to be out of pocket when I return this item? Its £3.90 and I am only a small business so every penny counts! (obviously wont resend until new address is on paypal)
Thanks

Your buyer could cancel the transaction (item Not Received) and you would be out of pocket the original P&P that you paid.
OR
You could resend to a verified address (at your expense) and offset the additional P&P from your profit on the sale. You would have a happy customer this way and wouldn't be lumbered with a personalised item that you would have difficulty selling on.
It sounds like the ebay SNAFU (which, THEY SAY, came about due to "scheduled maintenance" [which was not included in the normal scheduled maintenance announcements]) which has plagued the site.
You could ask Customer Service to reimburse your expenses for this (though don't hold your breath!!)0 -

Thank you, I had another order that I was waiting for an email response and never received it, chased them off ebay via there email and they said they had replied twice to my ebay messages so agree think there is a problem!!0 -

Most likely because they didn't change it. I'd forward them the paypal receipt with the address they selected and refuse to resend the item until they re-paid for delivery, or offer a refund minus the postage costs.
Advise them if they think there was an issue with the address, then they need to raise it with ebay or paypal.0 -

Thanks, the problem being with a personalised item it's pointless giving a refund as pretty unlikely to be able to resell the item unfortunately0 -
Block the bidder now.

Wait for the response and it should tell you to check again in 48 hours. Reply after 48 hours to say address still invalid.
Message the buyer and explain you were given xyz address - you didn't guess it, so it was given as she checked out, let her know that.
Tell her you are happy to send again to the other address for a charge of x.0
