Got Martin's money saving tips email, took his advice and opened an egg account to get the free £10 by downloading the egg money manager and just wanted to say its well worth doing even if you didin't get the £10 (tho that is a big incentive):T . You can view all your accounts in one place without going to each bank website like i generaly do and can be time consuming.
Would certainly recommend the egg money manager:D .

It's crap if you dont use IE tho, as it doesnt work with Firefox.
I've had it for years now, so unfortunately i cant get the 10quid0 -
ditto, had it for years but its only IE compatible and therefore useless in the modern world. When they adopt open standards and let in Firefox etc it'll be worth it again.0

Why would an Internet Explorer only compatible product be "useless in the modern world"? An awful lot of people use IE and are happy with it.
Looks like a grabit to me given £10 plus a useful product.0 -
Do as I did, register on a computer using I.E. grab your £10 then delete your account details.
I have never been keen on putting all my eggs in one basket anyway.0 -

An awful lot of people are constantly inconvenienced by what they don't benefit from, like all the fabulous extensions you can get for Firefox, for instance.
An awful lot of people can't use IE even if they wanted to, because they don't use a compatible operating system
An awful lot of people think that popups telling them their PCs are infected with viruses and offering them !!!!!! are just an inevitable part of the daily computing "experience".
An awful lot of people realise the value of open standards - encouraging freedom, competition and innovation, not monopolies and fat profits.
Have I answered your question?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Another thing to bear in mind is that many institutions (Barclays for one) have worrying exclusion clauses in their T&Cs about accessing their sites through this (and similar) facilities. "We will not be responsible for security breaches as a result" type clauses
It's handy, but I would not use it long term.0
