What to do next???

Hi everyone,

I sent off my letter asking for Natwest to pay me back all of my charges,i recieved a letter back saying
"Thank you for your recent letter regarding the fees applied to your account.
we are currently considering your claim.Given the work involved in assessing your claim we anticipate that we will be in a postion to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will endeavour to do so sooner if we are able to."

Should i now wait for them to get back to me or should i now send them a letter threatening court action? (Step 4)

Any help would be much appreciated:)

You could wait and see if they come up with a decent offer of settlement or you can take it to the next stage in the reclaim process. Technically they are allowed a full 8 weeks but may reply sooner. Once you have received their Final Response (it will be stated that it is such in the letter) and a suggestion to go to the Ombudsman you can do so.

You can always take the court route though and it is entirely up to you. Good luck whatever you decide :)

    Hi
I sent the court action letter and was then sent the standard reply letter back. I was saving up the money to go to court and was offered money from them which I asked them to reevaluate, they went from 50% (without charges) to 75% on the phone, I have told them I will think about it. Do not be afraid to phone them once you have had a reply after your letter, they are quite friendly. So yes send your next letter stick to your time table not theirs as Martin said.
