Travel Insurance Help Please

Hi,
I'm after some advice for cheap travel insurance for myself & my fiance. We are off to Thailand & Cambodia on the 22nd September due to come back 27th November but could extend to the beginning of December. I'm 37 with type 1 Diabetes my fiance is 40 with no medical conditions.
We done this trip last year & I got a really good deal for travel insurance for only £16!! I've had a quote from holidaysafe.co.uk of £34 which was quite resonble but becasue I waited more than 14 days it has now jumped up to £51 which is not deadly. I dont want to pay a fortune for my travel insurance so am looking for the basic cover.
I'm just after some advice on cheap travel insurance sites and is it better to put in that we are a couple or do it individually because there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in price also are we better to go for single trip, annual trip, backpacker or long stay??
Any help is greatly appreciated.

We usually use Atlas but never had a quote for longer than 2 weeks so not sure how much it would be0

Jesus,
you are off traveling for 2 months where there is no good medical insurance etc.and you are worried about a £1 a day for insurance!!!!
Perhaps you should reconsider your plans if this is a worry.
What sort of places are you going to be staying in.
You must be spending £2000 on the holiday.
Your health is the one thing that you cannot do without and you want to scrimp on it.
If a policy is cheap it is PROBABLY because the cover has corners cut.
I am sure you have declared your diabetes and if so good.0 -
So who are the 'good' travel insurers then? I can't seem to find any; they all turn up bad experiences in some reviews.0
