A kitchen base unit for a wee person

Does someone know if there is a kitchen company that offers a kitchen base unit height other than the standard 91cm(910mm)?

I am quite short (150cm) and would like a kitchen unit height to be around 80cm (800mm). I have been searching the web all day, but haven't been able to find a company that offers the choice. If I go for a bespoke kitchen, I imagine it will be very dear so I would rather not go down that way. This is my first ever kitchen, so any advice will be appreciated!

Howdens have a range of inclusive kitchens. They bring worktop height down to 820mm

If you google for 'accessible kitchens' you may find some more suppliers :)

You can do this with any kitchen by reducing the plinth height
or can go bespoke and get doors made to what you need

diy kitchens do reduced height base units -

    Dimensions:
    Height: 575mm Depth: 560mm Legs: 150mm

They will no doubt custom make them for an additional surcharge if you want an inbetween size.

The actual carcass height on Howdens carcass is 720mm. The 910 height is made up with the legs/plinth. Therefore, your fitter can adjust the leg/plinth to whatever height you require.

Thank you Doozergirl! I checked out Howdens inclusive range and this seems very promising. I will certainly look into this. I also followed your advice and googled "accessible kitchen" and a lot of stuff appeared. Yesterday, I thought there was nothing in the market, and now I realised there are quite a few out there! Great!
My mother insists that I choose the right height for me. She thinks ideally I should go for 75cm (750mm) but then, my partner will feel like he is cooking in a doll house, so I will have to find a good compromise.

I see...this is how it is done. So this way, I will not be restricted in the range and choices I have. I take it I will have to ask the kitchen fitter to cut it to size.

I will definitely check out their website, but I am slightly worried about whether these lowered units will fit in with appliances. I am assuming a cooker is made for the standard 86-91cm base units. It would probably stick out when placed next to the unit. I am just wondering if I would be able to fit in a dishwasher in one of these shorter base units?

Good to know. That means if I ask the fitter to adjust the leg to 5cm, I should be able to get kitchen units with height of 770mm.
More reason to look further into Howdens range. I can compare their inclusive range (820mm) and the more flexible option of adjusting of plinth height to exactly what I need. I imagine I may be slightly more restricted in the appliances I can use for this option, but I am glad that there may be something out there for me!
