Barclays Insurence??

Well I hope I make sense,i think in 2008 might have been 2009,i took out insurance on my bank(Barclays) it was Additions at £6.50 a month, and I only cancelled it in 2012 or later as I could no longer afford it and never even used it only to register a mobile phone but never even had it repaired or anything, just that was registered to it,at the time I took it out I was on Incapacity Benefit, and then I asked for an overdraft of £50 by phone in the Christmas 2010 I think and was accepted, and I have asked could I have it put up to more since then but they say no(which in all honesty I am grateful for) but they keep saying as I was not getting enough in my account at the time I should not have been accepted for it nor should they have done it over the phone.
So my main questions are 1)Even if I did register my mobile phone but did not make a claim on it,could I claim that money back?
2)Cause I should not have been accepted for an overdraft on any occasion and since the new charges have been put in I have paid 2 separate fee`s of £9.00 and £12.75 and I am in my overdraft now which is for £50 so will be due to pay more charges. So would I have a case to make a claim back?

    1) Claim it back on what basis? Wasn't Barclays Additions a packaged bank account rather than a separate insurance policy?

    2) You requested the overdraft, were accepted and used it. Overdrafts are not free and you can't claim the charges back just because you don't think that it should have been authorised in the first place.
