White floor grout?

Can anybody give me some advise with ref. to floor grout? We put a new bathroom suite in a couple of years ago and tiled the floor, looked ok but my wife said she did not like the dark grout i used.
I explained that floor grout is dark coloured, anyway she harped on about it so i dug all the grout out and re-grouted it with white wall tile grout!
As expected it has discoloured and bits of it have come out!:(

Question? before i re-grout them with normal floor grout is there any product on the market that wears like normal floor grout but light in colour.
Or should i just divorce the wife and be happy? ( only kidding )

Regards
Ganga:T

    No.

White grout on floor tiles is a non starter and a ridiculous idea. Its grey in 3 weeks.

As Phill said it is a non starter. Ridiculous?, a bit strong, I prefer impracticle.
There are plenty of light enough colours produced in standard flooring grade grout as above, sand/beige/light grey etc to match whatever tiles you have used.

The grout has flaked because you won't have cleared the old stuff out deep enough, it is difficult to do without causing some chipping especially considering these are new tiles
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I've got a subtle glitter ... check it out. Not the heavy-handed type.... just subtle.

We have Bal in light grey, it was my husbands choice to go light, with the light floor tiles we have. I hate it! (It is actually lighter than the colour Bal give too). It was laid in Jan/Feb this year and it is already a horrible patchy dark grey. The only way I can clean the grout back to normal is if I get on hands and knees and wipe/scrub the grout lines individually, a mop just won't touch it. Ignore your wife and go dark!

There is normal white grout that is hard wearing, we have it in the kitchen and it has lasted but as someone else said, don't do it!! It's filthy within weeks , wish we had gone with grey!
