Dispute with former tenant- overpaid bills

  • What really upsets me is that there are people like Ka in the world. Before I moved in, Bo was engaged to her partner and had planned to have Ka as her main bridesmaid! that never came to pass however. Eventually Ka deleted Bo from facebook and never talked to her again after this situation arose with the money.

If someone says I owe them money, I will try my best to look into it and resolve it. I am wise with my money, never in debt to any banks etc, and if I owe someone I sort it out asap.

Again, what evidence do you have of the agreement (amongst you re. the bills, obviously)?
no written agreement. I was as simple as saying I will do the internet if you do water and you do tax. who would ever think of having to write that down on paper? :o

Presumably there is evidence that what you say was actioned? Transfers in and out of accounts.

A bit like a tenancy with no documentation is proved by the acceptence of rent.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

You have just received the very best life-lesson you could possibly have had. And it's only cost you a hundred quid. Cheap at twice the price!

In my opinion you are both justified in being disappointed and angry at having been so mercilessly ripped-off but haven't a cat's chance in hell of recovering your money. Consider it good value, resolve to never be taken advantage of in the same way again and move on.

Write it off to experience. Just not worth worrying about, just don't make the same mistake again.
