Renter on prepay unable to switch

I have tried twice in the last ten years to change energy supplier but both times SWALEC have told me that they were unable to. Customer service were never able to explain to me why. There have been no problems with debt. All they could tell me was that it was something to do with how the supply was installed.
Can anyone explain this or suggest how I can surmount the problem?

    Do you have a strange meter setup? Multiple meters or something?

    No. One gas and one electric.

    Hard to know what the problem might be, are you with SWALEC or trying to move to them.
    Who are you with and what is your tariff called (it should be on your bill) with a bit more info you might get an answer.

    Agree with this you do need to clarify this.
    Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
