I need to find an adaptor....

Hi, I have a babyliss shaver/trimmer set.
I seem to have misplaced the charger/adaptor for it.
Im guessing I can pick up an adaptor for a couple of pound from a electric store, or even ebay. But I don't know what size/connection it should be.
Annoyingly the product handbook doesn't state it, there is a after sales customer support email, which I emailed, but even they would not tell me, they would only supply me this link...
babyliss.conairspares4u.co.uk/products/adaptor-en-2-3-4-5-6-7.html
Which shows an image but no description of the adaptor, and the option to buy it for £9 plus £4 postage.
Is there a way to tell what adaptor I need to save myself paying the quite high price from babyliss direct!
Cheers

Have a look on the shaver/trimmer, it should normally have some information printed (usually near where you plug the charger into it) with the voltage, how many milliamps it uses, and the polarity of the connection.*
It'll probably read something like "5v, 500ma" and give an indication as to whether the centre pin on the adaptor is positive or neutral.
*Pretty much any electrical device that has an external power supply will have this information somewhere, depending on the size and type of item it can be screen printed on, a sticky label, or even embossed as part of the moulding for a plastic casing.0 -
My adapter is model CA09 - 5.6v 80mA (centre positive)
On the back of the trimmer (when I get the super-strong specs out...) is Ref 7235U Type T79b (I think - difficult to read as it's just moulded not labelled) - also gives the adapter type and rating as above.
Anyhoo - it's this one http://www.babyliss.co.uk/10-in-1-titanium-grooming-system.html0 -
The refered to adapter http://babyliss.conairspares4u.co.uk/products/adaptor-en-2-3-4-5-6-7.html
does say "compatible with 10-in-1 Titanium Grooming System".If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Yes, this is the plug/adaptor. Im wondering if there are any outlets I could purchase it from, for cheaper. as it seems quite expensive directly from babyliss for jsut a plug!
Cheers :T0 -
Did you ever managed to find (a cheap) one?0
