  • After battling depression and obesity for all of my life up until the age of 18, I got fit (with abs, oh yes!) and got confident (pretended)...

It wasn't until the age of 21 when it happened.

We met at work, his team had merged with mine in the office, and we had an extra task as a team to streamline business practice - which meant we had time off on a Tuesday afternoon to have a meeting aka coffee, donuts & talking rubbish.

I noticed his piercing blue eyes but I was so shy.

I got drunk at one staff night out and tried to have my way with him - that didn't work, I was a wreck.

After much embarrassment, I started speaking to him at work again, casually showing an interest in his life, sharing his views. We were actually very similar.

I turned up at a halloween party dressed in a white (see through) morphsuit and little else in order to flaunt myself at him. He was almost seduced when someone gave me a cocktail that was just gin & vodka mixed. I threw up, passed out at the top of the stairs. He put me in the spare bed and kissed my forehead goodnight while our friend gave him the "what are you doing, I thought you didn't like him" look.

He got drunk at the annual barn dance... well, after the group of us ditched it because it was dreadful, and went out to a club instead.

After much thought that he wasn't interested after throwing myself at him earlier in the year, he toddled over to where I was sat, handed me his drink and kissed my face off. It was sensational in a way, to have all that daily build up for 8 months.

We were together for 11 months.

Yes, I missed out the part where I facebook stalked him so I could invent reasons to talk to him that he might be interested in, and left out the part where I purposefully drove past him when he was walking home from work purely to offer him a lift, and I missed out the part where I spoke to him on facebook every night religiously so I'd always be on his mind.

In short: I liked someone, stalked and seduced them.
    I can't add up.

I wish Facebook and mobile phones were around when I was in my teens, I was painfully shy about things like this in front of my parents so having the rely on the landline for phonecalls was very traumatic. Perhaps that's why I'm single at 38 :D
