Renting N00b Question

Hi

Just a random question re renting and Broadband Line rental.

im between homes (mine has sold and my new one wont be built untill March) so im having to take on a 6 months rental property

but i no idea where to start when looking at boradband because most providers only offer 12 months terms..

what have other renters done on here? i could do with your advice?

  • Some providers will let you transfer your service to a new address.

Or you can, if you look hard enough, find some 30 day contract broadband providers.
*Assuming you're in England or Wales.
  • Our tenants have just signed up to Sky (just phone and broadband). Think it was a £40 connection fee and then you're allowed one move within that first 12 months for a fee of £25 which I didn't think was too bad. They're between houses while they wait for a new build so sounds like a similar situation to you.

Andrew, when you move from the rented in 6 months you will be living somewhere where you'll want broadband, yes?

If so, you take the last 6 months of your 12 to the new address by transferring the account.

    Happens all the time.
