I travelled from Glasgow to Leeds to buy my current car, as it was such a good deal. For some reason, second hand cars are usually cheaper south of the border.

Likewise my DH has travelled to London to collect before and he has had people come to him to buy from Cambridge and Newcastle.

If it's a good deal / car, it's worth the trip.

I don't discount them but I do ask if there's a reason they're planning on travelling so far for a car - yesterday some chap phoned from Warrington (over 300 miles away) and when I asked why he wanted to travel so far he said there were no cars near him - a quick look on autotrader and ebay showed that there were loads!

If someone wants to travel a huge distance I don't mind but I'm not prepared to negotiate a price on the phone (especially when they want me to drop the price by 50%)!

Still I have someone local coming to see it thus afternoon so fingers crossed!

Well it sold - first person to look bought (via local Facebook group of all places) and more importantly for a price I was happy with!
