Hello.
I am in the process of changing 3 sets of window hinges for my dad house.
I have changed a set for him before.
While I was measuring the hinge sizes I noticed that the seals were very badly perished and not making a good seal on the inside and on the outside there was none at all. They are a foam inside with a neoprene cover like Q-Lon. I thought I could use bubble gasket but the don't fit the groove.
I looked online and the closest I can get is Schlegel Aquamac 33 or Aquamac 63, http://shop.stormflame.com/aquamac-by-schlegel-31-c.asp has some pics of the items.
Does anybody know where I can get some free samples to try as I don't want to spend money on the wrong size.
Also how do you fit it as I have been told to cut 4 parts and butt them together at the sash joints o do you insert it all in 1 go and not make any cuts.
Thanks for any help you may have.
