Credit card protection...is it worth it?

I am thinking about taking out credit card protection, as I now have alot of cards and it would be good to have the peace of mind.

Now dont get this confused with payment protection i.e. 79p per £100 as I never buy into this

I have read the free fraud protection article from capital one and barclays, however it only covers the card in question (not all the others)

However the card protection sounds really good. I havnt read all of the terms and conditions, however it covers alot of things some of which I was going to look into anyway. Speaking to someone from Card Protection Plan (who I had already signed up with) he told me that the plan I had picked was the most advanced one out of all the possible companies. (They do policies for all the card providers I have)

I know you have to pay extra for this. However I feel that the money that I save on the credit cards by stoozing e.t.c. justifies this. After all if I paid with just cash I wouldnt have any protection anyway.

Just to see if anyones had any experiences with this...good or bad?

Thanks

don't do it. Card protection is for mugs. no wonder the card companies are so keen for you to sign up, they'll be the ones benefiting.
