Hi All
I have a 4 hour drive down to Dover on Friday 19th June 2015 and intend to take an afternoon car ferry (around 4.00pm) over to Calais / Dunkirk so that I can stop in accommodation overnight ready for a 6 hour drive in France the next day.
I wish to start the following days drive at about 9.30am, by taking the afternoon ferry it means I don't have to get up at 5.30am to catch a 7.30am ferry to France
Can any one recommend a reasonably priced coastal B&B or hotel within 30 miles of Calais that is close to a beach and restaurant so I can chill out for the evening
I am looking to pay up to 50 euro for room only or 60 euro including breakfast

I'd go for a budget formule1 for somewhere to lay my head. Cheap and clean, usually easy to find as they tend to be close to main routes.Bern :j0

Some parts of Calais can be ropey.
This hotel seems good?

Audresselles would be a good choice for beach, it's a fishing village.

it depends which direction you are going, if A16 then Wimeraux is lovely and 30 mins from Calais, loads of places to eat and stay - it is our pre-Calais stop off0

Hi
do you have any hotel names (and possibly internet links) in Wimeraux ?
I will be going south to stay near Le mans0 -
We like B&B hotels, they have two in Calais.

Stayed in a B&B recently which was fine. Have previously stayed in the Calais Campanile.
If you want something less formulaic you could try Logis de France which are all independent hotels but are supposed to have restaurents I think (according to my French mother in law) and each is a bit different. They vary a lot in price.0 -
Another vote for Wimereux. About 20mins down the motorway from Calais, or an hour max down the scenic coast road along the Cote D'Opale. Always our last night stay in France.
