Bought a house with Economy 7 - what supplier?

I've just purchased a property with Economy 7 and storage heaters. Once I move in, I have no idea who I should register with for the best deal? Does anyone have any idea where to start? Obviously I won't have any previous bills or info to work out a comparison. It's a small 1 bed house though.
My second question is, I'm thinking of converting it to central heating - therefore is it possible not to agree a contract for the Economy 7 since I might only be on it for a few months?
Many thanks! It's my first property so bills are a bit daunting!

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

You will have to initially go with the previous supplier
Ask if you can come off economy 7. Some will accept the total useage by just adding both meter readings rather than charge for new meter to be fitted0 -
The previous owner should have told you who their supplier is as that is who you should initially continue the supply with. Contact the solicitor to see if they know, if it's not on anything you have. Oh and take a reading of both the day rate & night rate on the day you move in. Then when you know suppkier you can tell them those readings.0

Elec meters, their location and who the supplier is, are nationally registered Region by Region - Google "Who supplies my Electricty ?" and you can find the phone number of your regions register, who will tell you who the supplier is0

You were in a deemed contract wit the existing suppliers from day one: you can't switch away until you have an account with them, then just use average kWh figures on any comp site.
You can be tied to a tariff, but that doesn't tie you to E7 within that tariff. Bear in mind that switching away from E7 may require a meter change. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
For new central heating does the property have a gas supply, what fuel do you want to use?
Also the EPC which all marketed properties must have will show recommendations for how to improve or upgrade the heating system.
Regarding the supplier, as mentioned during conveyancing the solicitor’s property information form is completed by each vendor, one of the questions will be who are the utility suppliers?0
