Just received my Sar letter

Hi everyone, just received my Sar letter from HSBC... heck of a lot of paperwork in it!

Could someone please let me know what i need to be trying to find for PPI request letter (I'm guessing a ref. number)??

Its quite confusing because I've found quite a few mentions of protection plans but they've all got different reference numbers.

Cheers :)

You dont need to do a DSAR to make a PPI complaint. People only use DSARs where they dont know if they had it and the bank say they havent got it and they are just making sure the bank is correct.

What products do you think you had PPI on?
What has the bank said when you asked them?

  • It was from a loan and credit card which i took out in 2002 and i wasn't sure if i had taken PPI out on either, from what i can see from the paperwork i did on both just can't find a definite ref. number.
  • You could have simply asked HSBC to check if there was PPI. Or do you simply not trust them to answer honestly?
