Basically I've had a few problems so I've complained which Barclays have agreed they made errors.. I''ve recently made a new complaint and I get a letter next day saying they reviewed my account and are closing it down after the 60 day notice. I was going to close it anyway looks like they made it for me but I can't close it myself.
Basically what I think happened because of the issues I've had thy think they are not the bank for me which is true but I would of liked to of made the decisions myself.
It's frustrating that I can't close it before.

I think Barclays will soon become the next HSBC, they are doing a massive closure of account. Dont know why though.
This has just happened to 2 of my friends, no fraud nothing what so ever, they just sent them letter saying after a review of the account they are closing their account in 60 days.
When one of them lodge a complaint they contacted him saying sorry, you dont meet our criteria anymore.
After numerous calls, They agreed to send him a letter confirming that it has nothing to do with fraud and that they have not put anything on his credit file.Aqua Advance £ 9500 ( Settled ) | BC Platinum Card 25/25 £10500 | 24 studio £1950 | SimplyBe £1800 | Nationwide Flexplus A/C OD £800| Meaningless Noddles score= 3/50 -
Yep I reckon it's because I've complained a few times, sorry but they made errors of course I did. Oh well0
