Virus?

Hi guys

I have a stupid pricce chop virus thing on my PC, adverts keep poping up.

I have gone to add and remove programmes but there is nothing there….I have only recently reformatted my PC. I have also ran malware and it hasn’t found anything.

Any suggestions?

Its a browser add on isnt it? Bet you have inadvertently ticked/not ticked a box whilst installing progs.

Check your extensions.

the ad pops up when I browse sites, BBC website for example

Its an extension to your web browser that you have put on unwittingly by not checking what you have been installing.

Be careful in future but I see Zennith has given you a decent tool to remove it but heres how to do it step by step

Thanks, but as I said, when I go into add/remove programmes I cant see it there.

I will install that programe later

It won't be in add/remove programs but in extensions within your browser settings.

What web browser are you using?

Wipe out all harmful items of it , go check places like temp file folder, registry, start-up list and browser extensions.
