HELP!!!!! Will it affect my credit score?

I had a bill from FedEx which I was sure I had paid, anyway... I hadn't obviously. I have moved house recently and started a new job and it must have slipped the net. It was passed to Control Account and I paid it with them today. £19.83 + £1 fee. Will this effect my credit score? I'm 22 and I am worried it will affect my ability to get a mortgage and things.

You don't have a credit score as credit scores do not exist.
When should you have paid this money?0 -

Are you being pedantic about my grammar? Could you explain what this means for me and how long it will stay on there for?0 -
It means that if it reported to your credit file, lenders will see that you are not always good at paying bills.
It will stay there for 6 years.
Is it on your credit file?0 -

Not on equifax when I looked, but apparently it was only given to them on 19th August...0 -

I thought that this was a supposedly helpful forum... (and edited for repeated word).
To the OP - I've had courier bills end up with Control Account in the past and nothing has ever been reported by them to the CRA's that I've noticed. For peace of mind check your reports in a month or two but unless they've got a CCJ for the debt then I wouldn't worry at all.0 -

Thanks! I was having a right flap, to be honest I wasn't think about grammar! I will check again like you said. I rang FedEx (because I was annoyed they had passed it to someone else without contacting me) and they said that it doesn't normally go any further unless it is over £100 (which I was well under). Thanks for the kind answer. I don't think I will be posting on here again. I asked a question about 2 years ago and got a much worse response.0 -

Unfortunately there are some members on here who are not particularly nice or helpful. Don't let them put you off, not everybody is like that. Best to ignore them. There are some really helpful members too. Good luck.0
