First Utility - Nightmare
I have just switched to First Utility based on the prices. I completed the 14 day cooling off period for switching, but last night received the bombshell email that they would be taking £124 per month, previously I paid Scottish Power £86 which I then reduced to £75 and still over £150 in credit.
Trying the "customer service" line is a joke - 10min wait, don't make me laugh 40 people in the queue. I don't have time to spend hours on the phone. Emailed them and it takes 5 days to respond.
Regretting switching - take my advise and stay well clear

Interestingly when I tried to sign up with them yesterday, you could speak to someone in Sales straight away !!
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to have a contract with them but it seems I had a lucky escape ;o/0 -
Maybe I should try pressing the "would like to sign up" option

Maybe you should just cancel your direct debit?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
